Arthur Coyne, CFA, Joins Northwest Capital Management as Chief Investment OfficerSeptember 2005 - Portland , Oregon
Northwest Capital Management, Inc. ("NWCM"), a provider of investment consulting and wealth management services, today announced the appointment of Thomas E. "Arthur" Coyne, CFA, as Chief Investment Officer, effective September 19, 2005. As Chief Investment Officer, Mr. Coyne will be responsible for manager research and asset allocation modeling across NWCM's institutional and private client practices.

Mr. Coyne has nineteen years of investment experience. Prior to joining NWCM, Mr. Coyne led asset allocation and fixed income research at Arnerich Massena & Associates, a Portland-based investment consulting firm. He also headed the asset allocation group at Windermere Investment Associates, a consulting firm specializing in tax-efficient investment advising for high net worth individuals and institutions, after starting his career as an investment analyst and operations manager at Smith Breeden Associates, a fixed income investment manager. As a fixed income analyst, Mr. Coyne valued and performed risk analyses on mortgage backed securities (MBS), collateralized mortgage obligations (CMOs) and interest rate derivatives for the purpose of assisting savings institutions in their management of risk. In March 2005, Arthur Coyne was featured in a Brainstorm NW magazine cover story, Investing with the Best: Top Regional Financial Advisors. Mr. Coyne holds a B.S. from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, which is a globally recognized standard for measuring the competence and integrity of investment professionals.
